INL Kazakhstan Chief: Youliana Sadowski
The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is part of the U.S. Department of State’s multi-faceted response to criminal threats. Dedicated to strengthening criminal justice systems, countering the flow of illegal narcotics, and minimizing transnational crime, INL plays a key role in leading the development, synchronization, and implementation of foreign assistance to help other countries fight drugs and crime. INL helps countries deliver justice and fairness by strengthening police, courts, and corrections systems, thereby reducing the amount of crime and illegal drugs reaching U.S. shores. INL assistance in Kazakhstan focuses on law enforcement reform, financial and corruption crimes, anti-trafficking in persons activities, and border security, including counternarcotics.
