The U.S. Mission in Kazakhstan is currently updating its warden system in order to ensure that our registration records are up to date. The warden system provides a reliable way to reach U.S. citizens in the event of an emergency, disaster, or threat, as well as distribute other important information to U.S. citizens as quickly as possible. U.S. citizens registered abroad are placed in various groups known as “zones” that are based upon geographic location, employment or other categories.
All recipients who are currently living in Kazakhstan are requested to confirm their continued residence in the country by email at USAKZACS@state.gov by June 26, 2015. Those who do not respond to this message may be assumed to have left Kazakhstan and removed from our registration list.
U.S. citizens are also encouraged to confirm their travel status in STEP (https://step.state.gov/step/) by identifying their departure date as well as updating any changes to their contact information.
If you have additional questions, please call the U.S. Consulate General Almaty Consular Section at (727)-250-49-01 or send an inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org.
