Secretary Kerry travels to Kazakhstan

The U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan is happy to announce the first visit by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to Kazakhstan from November 1-3, as part of a broader trip by the U.S. Secretary of State to all five Central Asian republics.

In Astana Secretary Kerry will meet with President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and will conduct bilateral discussions with senior government leaders.  The Secretary will also participate in the fourth meeting of the U.S.-Kazakhstan Strategic Partnership Dialogue and deliver remarks on Central Asia’s role in addressing global issues at Nazarbayev University.

November 1st Airport Arrival: Media is invited to cover the arrival of Secretary Kerry at the airport. The press will need to arrive at the airport no later than 17:00 to allow for security procedures.

November 2nd Speech at Nazarbayev University: Media is invited to cover Secretary Kerry’s speech at Nazarbayev’s University, outlining U.S. policies and partnerships in Central Asia. The press will need to arrive at the university no later than 15:30 to allow for security procedures.
